Boarding & Vaccination policies
Please have your pet on a leash or in a carrier. For the safety and well-being of our staff, admission and check-out prior to or after regular business hours is not permitted. Please make arrangements with friends to drop off and pick up pets within boarding hours if needed. Payment is required prior to discharge. Please inform us in advance if someone other than the recorded Owner is picking up the pet.
Check Out Time is 11:00 AM
Charges begin on the day you admit your pet and for each day thereafter. Pets picked up before 11:00 AM on the day of discharge will have the fee for that day waived.
Holiday Reservations
Deer Park Animal Medical Center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. In addition, we will close early on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. A non-refundable booking deposit is required for Pets boarded over major holidays to decrease overbooking and no-shows.
Proof of vaccinations by a licensed Veterinarian required for boarding:
Dogs: Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvo virus - annually for adult dogs
Bordatella- every 6 months
Rabies- within the past year for the 1st rabies vaccine, then every 3 years.

Canine Influenza: (strains H3N2 & H3N8 both) A series of two vaccines given a month apart, then yearly. This is an emerging disease threat across the country with particular risk for boarding facilities, groomers, pet parks, pet hospitals, shelters, camp sites, the sidewalk and wherever dogs congregate, cross paths or might be exposed. Cats: Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici virus, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia, & Leukemia- annually for adult cats
Feline Bordatella- every 6 months
Rabies- within the past year for the 1st rabies vaccine, then every 3 years.
Ferrets: Distemper and Rabies within the past year
